What are People saying about TRAILBLAZERS?

This is the final week of the 2024 Huron Waves season, and you shouldn’t just listen to me. Here are comments by visitors to Trailblazers. All we’ve done is remove individuals’ names.

An amazing exhibit. So fortunate to have such a thoughtful, artistic and informative display right close to home.

I was fortunate enough to see this exhibit already and it’s certainly worth your time and $$ to take it in. The interesting and innovative way the artist, Mr. Stuart, has brought in components of the “trailblazers” life and contributions to Canada into a wearable piece of art is amazing!
We have much to be proud of, Canadian Ladies! 💖🇨🇦💖

Went to see this interesting display of treasures yesterday, for the Anne Murray singalong of course, but came away very amazed at the artistry of Mr. Stuart, the goldsmith who created the amazing offerings in honour of a group of women Trailblazers who contributed to Canadian culture. His pieces for women of the north were particularly amazing but I think I liked Gudrid’s piece the most…simple and strong as she would have had to be as someone raising children in 1050 in northern Newfoundland!

I look forward to the Voyageur guitar and its stories and music next week!

Well worth seeing! 🇨🇦

I met the artist and his wife, experienced a great and short tribute concert to Anne Murray. Don Stuart’s necklaces are amazing. I highly recommend that you come and see for yourself.

This is an opportunity you need to take advantage of. We are very lucky to have this exhibition here😍

So interesting. I enjoyed Trailblazers Sunday…Day 1.

I plan to return again to take it all in. Thanks.

The whole display is extraordinary!!
Make sure you make the time to take it all in.

The neck pieces are extraordinary. The piece that moved me to tears was the feather for Pauline Johnson. My mother was born and raised in Brantford and Pauline Johnsons poetry figured prominently in my life. I still have pictures of me as a toddler taken in front of Chiefswood. I was so wishing my Mom was with me to see this collection but I know she was with me in spirit. 💜

TRAILBLAZERS is open this week, Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Tickets ($10) at the door (Trivitt Auditorium, 246 Main Street South, Exeter) or in advance by purchase online.

With an additional block of tickets opened last weekend for Sunday’s concert featuring Susan Aglukark, it’s a full house with just a few  tickets left. Tickets here.

And with that, it’s a wrap for 2024.

Till we’re together again…remember that Music Connects Us.
