Music Connects Us

Notes from our Artistic Director

September 1, 2022

Announcement by Hon. Lisa Thompson

Who doesn’t love a good announcement from your provincial Member of Parliament!  Our thanks go to Minister Thompson for the recent news of an Ontario government grant to Huron Waves so that we can produce two more videos – one to be our third December release highlighting local talent and special Ontario musical guests for the holiday season, and one to be a very special feature that will open our next season on June 1, 2023.   Further news about each of these productions will be coming your way as my eblasts approach their opening dates.  Thanks, Lisa, for adding to such a positive summer for the music festival!

Autumn approaches

I’ve always especially enjoyed the ‘shoulder’ seasons – Spring and Autumn – so September is one of my favourite months.  In fact, it’s the point at which I traditionally head out on my furlough from regular activities and take time to relax and plan for the coming eleven months.  I’ll be back in time for Fore the Music, Huron Waves’ first golf tournament at the White Squirrel Golf Club in St. Joseph to raise funds for our 2023 season of concerts and events. I hope to see many of you there on September 28.  As a reminder to sign up for the fun, here’s the promotional graphic:

Till we’re together again…remember that Music Connects Us.
