Volunteer
Adult and student volunteers play an important part in the success of our events and concerts by contributing their time, talent and energy to the Huron Waves Music Festival.
What do volunteers do?
By participating in our festival, you will meet new people, use your skills or learn new ones, assist at events and special activities, and support the local arts community.
As welcoming, knowledgeable hosts and ambassadors for Huron Waves, duties include:
- Greeting visitors, ticket sales, ushering in the concert venues, and other related activities. This is the primary role of most Huron Waves volunteers.
- Providing administrative support to staff and assisting with special projects.
- Assisting with special events and outreach programs.
- Supporting our efforts to ensure patrons have an outstanding experience at Huron Waves Festival.
What are the requirements for a festival volunteer?
The preferred time commitment is a minimum of three shifts from June 1 to June 21, including weekends. Shifts are generally 3 to 4 hours long. Schedules are flexible. The minimum age to become a volunteer is 16 years old. Outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills are an asset.
