It’s been great to have Luke Jerram’s sculpture, GAIA, with us in June; GAIA is our planet composed of photographs taken by NASA astronauts through the windows of their space crafts circling the planet Earth.

Even more fun would be the chance to be close to Mission Control, the home base of these astronauts. And so, with the assistance of Ellison Travel & Tours, we’ve arranged just such an opportunity.

You could win this unique travel experience for two people to Space Center Houston, one of the world’s major science museums and an extraordinary tourist attractions as the official visitor centre of the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

What’s to see at the Space Center? More than 400 space artifacts, permanent and traveling exhibits, exhibits and experiences and theaters related to the exciting future and remarkable past of America’s human space-flight program. The experience is designed to engage adults and children alike. Known around the world as the home of NASA Mission Control, International Space Station Mission Control and astronaut training, guests are taken behind the scenes to see NASA Johnson Space Center.

  • Tickets shall be sold one (1) for $50 / three (3) for $100.
  • Draw Date to be held on July 2 at 12 noon at Trivitt Church.
  • No one under the age of 18 shall be eligible to purchase a raffle ticket or win a prize.
  • The winner of the prize shall be determined and publicized. The winner will be notified by telephone. Winner will be published on the Huron Waves website and social media.
  • Winner must be 21 years of age and in possession of a valid passport to travel including any proof of vaccines or COVID-19 testing that may apply at time of travel.
  • Huron Waves shall be responsible for awarding the prize and making all reasonable efforts to contact the prize winner.
  • It is the responsibility of the winner to contact Michelle Branco at Ellison Travel within 2 weeks to claim your prize by calling 519-235-2000 or by email to MichelleB@ellisontravel.com
  • Prize includes a 4-night stay.
  • Hotel and air reservations are based on availability and hotel may be substituted if necessary.
  • Hotel and air terms, conditions and blackout dates apply.
  • We require a minimum of three weeks’ notice to finalize your booking.
  • Travel must be completed by July 1, 2024.
  • Insurance is not included but is recommended.
  • If the prize is not claimed, it shall be secured or placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at that time the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize shall be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
  • Only the prize as described and approved in the license application shall be awarded.
  • The value of the prizes shall include the amount of any duty, tax, sales tax or other cost.
  • This prize must be taken as presented and has no cash value and cannot be extended or exchanged or transferred.
  • There will be no payment of residual value to the winner and all charges above the value of Economy class flights are at the winner’s expense.
