An Evening with Tomson Highway
June 21 at 7:30 PM at Dark Horse Estate Winery
In his best-selling autobiography, Permanent Astonishment, Tomson Highway, whom Maclean’s magazine dubbed one of the most important 100 people of Canadian history, describes himself this way: “…I am just bizarre, unusual, ridiculous, multilingual, optimist, unstoppable, laughter-loving, piano-playing – and utterly unique – Tomson Highway.”
Huron Waves agrees with both descriptions, so join us to meet Tomson Highway as composer, pianist, humorist and great Canadian when his music and musings take centre stage for An Evening with Tomson Highway. Hosted by Graham Greene and favoured with paintings by First Nation artist, Jeffrey ‘Red’ George, this evening is your opportunity to join the music festival in honouring three outstanding individuals on Canada’s Indigenous Peoples Day.
